Jamie started playing tennis at 5 years of age and played county under 10. Between the ages of 12 to 18, he played at county, regional and national levels. At 16 he was selected by the LTA for a full time scholarship at a National LTA squad in Wrexham with John Hicks. During this time he travelled extensively across Europe playing on the satellite tour for 2 years. After a succesful time, he was then selected to another National LTA squad in Nottingham with John Paish. He has experienced the highest level of junior tennis and played on the pro satellite tour. Jamie has also represented Great Britain at under 18 level on a tour of Junior ITF's in Italy for 5 weeks. Also played Junior Wimbledon in 1993 playing against future World number 1, Gustavo Kuerten. He is currently still playing county tennis for Essex and NCL for Connaught Tennis Club in Chingford.
