LTA Level 3 DCA Course

Batchwood HPC offer the following coach education assistance for this qualification:

LTA Development Coach Award

The Development Coach Award (DCA) follows the Level 2. The course is designed for coaches interested in working with beginners and improvers, children and adults, both individually and in groups. It includes N/SVQ Level 2 Coaching, Teaching and Instructing Tennis.

Before applying for the DCA, you must first have attended either the Level 1 Coaching Assistant Course or the Tennis Assistants (TA) Course, have an Appointed Persons First Aid certificate and a CRB Enhanced Disclosure certificate.

There are four modules and three blocks of practical coaching experience over a period of five months. Each module consists of three days of course time, together with three periods of six weeks for practical coaching experience when at least nine one-hour lessons must be coached. Tutor contact time on the course is 12 days in total.
