The Academy Card membership is unique to Batchwood HPC. It enables selected HPC and Futures players to access indoor courts and training facilities across the St Albans district at a subsidised rate. The details of the scheme and costs are as follows: 

ST ALBANS DISTRICT LEISURE CONNECTION ACADEMY CARD SCHEME

For a select few players, Leisure Connection is proud to sponsor the most talented players for Academy Cards which provide a series of privileges and benefits to result in substantial financial savings and use of St. Albans sports facilities. Such benefits include: 

  1. Huge savings on court fees. Free Courts
  2. Free Use of all Harpers gyms (Batchwood, Westminster Lodge, Bricket Wood, Harpenden, and London Colney)
  3. Free use of all St. Albans District swimming pools (Westminster Lodge, Bricket Wood, Harpenden)
  4. Reductions at Hit and Run shop at Gosling
  5. Reductions on Team Trips

The Academy Card is greatly subsidized by Leisure Connection and St. Albans District Council, to help reduce training costs incurred along their training pathway. We are grateful for their continued support in this scheme.

PAYMENT

This must be received at the start of the membership card year (September 1st). New members that join during the year can receive a pro rata card for missed months of that year. In the case of lost cards, reception will replace the card at a cost of £5.00.

For St Albans District Residents. If you are a County tennis player that has represented the county team on a regular basis, you can apply for a free academy card sponsored by Leisure Connection and St Albans District Council, subject to application and selection.
